    Fees explained

What a sale costs on both sides, with a calculator so you can use your own numbers.

    What the seller pays#

Sellers pay 6% of the item price, and nothing on the postage — because the postage is not yours. Florin House collects it and buys the label.

On a £25 coin that is £1.50. It comes off the payout, which is released after the coin arrives.

    What the buyer pays#

On top of the coin and the postage, a buyer pays:

    • A service fee of 5% of the item price, plus 20p.
    • A delivery handling fee of 45p per parcel — per parcel, not per coin.

    What a buyer would pay

    The coin£25.00
    PostageBuys the tracked label£2.92
Service fee5% of the item price, plus 20p£1.45
Delivery handlingPer parcel, however many coins are in it£0.45
    Buyer pays£29.82

Because handling is charged per parcel, buying several coins from one seller costs the same 45p as buying one. That is the cheapest way to buy here, and the reason behind the £5 add-on rule.

Why it is structured this way#

Florin House — not the seller — collects the postage, buys the label, registers tracking, runs the daily tracking checks and absorbs it when a carrier fails. The 45p handling fee pays for that work rather than hiding it in the commission.

Charging it per parcel is also the only fee here that does not grow with the coin’s price, so consolidating an order is rewarded automatically.

If you sell as a dealer or a business, the page for coin dealers sets these fees against eBay’s business-seller fees on your own prices. Private sellers pay no final value fee on eBay, so that comparison is for business sellers.
