How to play the daily coin games
Florin House has three free coin games, all built on the coin catalogue. Each is summarised below in a paragraph; the full rules, tips and common questions for each game are on its own page.
Coindle
Coindle sets one mystery coin a day, the same coin for every player. Each guess is a coin from the catalogue, and the board compares it with the answer across six columns: the picture, year, design features, denomination, value and rarity out of 10. Green means a match, orange means some of the design features match, and red means a miss; on year, value and rarity an arrow shows whether the answer is higher or lower. You have unlimited guesses, and your result is the number of guesses you needed, compared with other players that day.
Coin Detective
Coin Detective shows one mystery coin a day as a heavily pixelated photo. You have six guesses to name it, and the picture sharpens after every miss. Everyone gets the same coin, and you can play without an account; signing in keeps your streak.
Higher or Lower
Higher or Lower shows you coins from the catalogue one after another and asks whether the next one is worth more or less. Values are the catalogue's current values, the same figures shown on each coin page. Every coin in the game is worth more than its face value, and one wrong call ends your run. Signing in lets you see where your best run ranks.
Scores and streaks
Coindle and Coin Detective each keep their own streak. Solve the day’s coin and your streak for that game goes up by one; solve it again the next day and it keeps growing. A day without a solve ends the run, and your next solve starts the streak again at one. Your longest streak is kept alongside the current one.
In Coindle your result is the number of guesses you needed, shown as the share of that day’s players you beat. In Coin Detective, fewer guesses earn a higher score. Higher or Lower keeps your best run, the most correct calls in a row, and ranks it against other players’ runs.
Signed in, you can see your streaks on your stats page.
Playing without an account
You can play all three games without signing up. Your progress for the day is remembered in this browser with a cookie, so you can close the page and come back to the same puzzle; clear your cookies or switch device and it starts afresh.
Signing in keeps your streaks, your daily results and your best Higher or Lower run with your account, so they follow you to any device.
