In this series, each of Canada's provinces and territories received its own distinctive reverse, issued in sequence over the course of the anniversary celebrations. Prince Edward Island holds a special place in the set as the "Cradle of Confederation," having hosted the Charlottetown Conference that set the nation on its path to union.
