1992 Canada Elizabeth II Yukon 25 Cents

Über 1992 Canada Elizabeth II Yukon 25 Cents (Text auf Englisch)

It was the first coordinated national series of its kind in Canada and helped spark widespread public interest in collecting coins from pocket change. Struck in nickel at the Winnipeg facility during the reign of Elizabeth II, the Yukon issue features a reverse by Libby Dulac depicting the rugged peaks and sweeping ice of the Kaskawulsh Glacier in Kluane National Park, a striking tribute to the territory's vast wilderness and dramatic northern landscape. The obverse carries the crowned effigy of the Queen by Dora de Pédery-Hunt, with a commemorative double date in place of the usual single year, a distinctive feature shared across the series.
