This is the 2020 BU issue with a mintage of 12,980. The fourth and final coin in the 2020 Tower of London series. The tower's role as a prison has long been established with many famous inmates. The words "MY LIBERTIE DENIED" were etched by Thomas Miagh a prisoner held but never charged on the walls of the tower.©The Royal Mint, 2020Produced in association with Historic Royal Palaces, the design features the Tower of London mint mark on the reverse and was also struck in silver proof, silver piedfort and gold proof. The BU mintage comprised Royal Mint packs (9,481 sales) and third party trade packaging (3,499 sales).
