This is the 2005 BU issue with a mintage of 79,868. Despite being produced in their millions and being available at face value from most post offices and banks, the ordinary business strike was a Royal Mint commemorative issue and not intended for general circulation. This design was also issued in the Annual Proof set , while also being issued in BU individual packs (16,267 sales) as well as in a twin pack with the Horatio Nelson £5 commemorative (31,072 sales), the coin was also struck in silver proof, silver piedfort proof and gold proof.
