This is the 2005 BU issue with a mintage of 40,563. Despite being produced in their millions and being available at face value from most post offices and banks, the ordinary business strike was a Royal Mint commemorative issue and not intended for general circulation. This design was also issued in the Annual Proof set , while also being available in individual BU packs (9,098 sales) as well as in a twin pack (31,072 sales) with the Trafalgar £5 commemorative, as well as being struck in silver proof, silver piedfort proof, gold proof and platinum piedfort proof.
