This is the 1989 BU issue with a mintage of 369,087. Despite being produced in their millions and being available at face value from most post offices and banks, the ordinary business strike was a Royal Mint commemorative issue and not intended for general circulation. Issued as part of the Annual Proof Coin Sets for 1989.While not part of the Annual Brilliant Uncirculated Set for 1989 it was released in a BU Twin Pack with the Claim of Right as well as individually. The coin was also issued in silver proof and silver piedfort. A number of coins were also issued in coin wallets courtesy of Guinness Extra.
