2017 Canada Elizabeth II Wings of Peace 10 Cents BU : présentation (texte en anglais)
Its reverse was chosen through the "My Canada, My Inspiration" design contest, in which Canadians submitted artwork and then voted to select the winning themes. Designed by Amy Choi of Ontario, the reverse shows a dove in flight, a universal emblem of peace, with wings evoking maple leaves. The design reflects Canada's longstanding identity as a peacekeeping nation and its commitment to harmony at home and abroad. Special dual dating marks the anniversary and sets the coin apart from the familiar Bluenose schooner design that normally appears on the denomination. The obverse carries Susanna Blunt's effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Collectors value it both as a standalone commemorative and as an essential component of the complete anniversary set alongside its companion denominations.
