This is the 2019 BU issue with a mintage of 20,199. Charles II is thought to have been the first to insist that the ravens of the Tower be protected after he was warned that the crown and the Tower itself would fall if they left. That belief and tradition is still maintained and currently there are seven ravens at the Tower - the required six, plus one spare. The first of four coins in the 2019 Tower of London series, produced in association with Historic Royal Palaces. The coin was issued individually in a Brilliant Uncirculated pack (14,699 sales) as well as in tubes for third parties (5,500 sales). The design features the Tower of London mint mark on the reverse and was also struck in copper-nickel, silver proof, silver piedfort and gold proof. ©The Royal Mint, 2019
