This is the 2007 BU issue with a mintage of 38,215. For the 2008 issue some strikes seem to be missing part of one leaf, it is likely due to worn dies. Also, in 2008 a mule was accidently introduced using the obverse from this coin with the Matthew Dent Royal Shield reverse. Reports have been received regarding 2000, 2001 and 2002 dated issues having a slightly different shaped 2 than the rest of this series. In the examples below, the top of the 2 in 2000 ends in a curved drop while the top of the 2 in 2005 ends in a straight line.
